Eligibility Criteria

Be a citizen of a country receiving official development assistance from the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Have secured an admission offer for an undergraduate course at Oxford University.
Demonstrate outstanding academic ability and a strong motivation to pursue higher education.
Prove financial need and the inability to study at Oxford without financial support.
Be committed to returning to their home country after completing their degree.
Have not previously studied at the undergraduate level.

Eligible Countries
Eligible applicants must be nationals of one of the low-income countries listed by the OECD’s DAC, which includes Afghanistan, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and many more. A complete list can be found on the University of Oxford’s website.
Application Process
The application process for the Reach Oxford Scholarship consists of two main stages:
Step 1: Apply to the University of Oxford
Students must first submit an application for admission to an undergraduate programme via UCAS by 15 October 2024.
Only applicants who receive an offer for a place at Oxford will be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The University does not consider scholarship applications from students who have not secured admission.
Step 2: Submit a Scholarship Application
Once admitted, eligible students must complete the Undergraduate Scholarships Application Form by 12 noon (UK time) on 12 February 2025.
The selection process will take place in March 2025, and successful candidates will be notified in April 2025.
Applicants should note that competition is extremely high, and alternative funding is not available for unsuccessful candidates.
Selection Process
The selection process is highly competitive and is based on various factors, including academic merit, financial need, leadership qualities, and a clear intention to contribute positively to one’s home country. Shortlisted applicants may be required to provide further documentation or attend an interview.

Special Considerations
If an applicant has deferred entry for an undergraduate course at Oxford, they should apply for the scholarship in January of the year they will start their course.
Students applying through Oxford’s Astrophoria Foundation Year Programme should submit their scholarship applications in January of the year they will begin their undergraduate degree.
Some Oxford colleges may not participate in the Reach Oxford Scholarship scheme every year, but this does not prevent students from applying. If selected, they may be transferred to a participating college.
